Warner Park Community Recreation Center | Madison, WI Wedding Photographer | Kellie + Rob

Warner Recreational Park-Madison-WI-Wedding-Photographer-Kellie-and-Rob-Maried_0001.jpg

Whenever you have two kindred spirits come together and one is a yoga instructor and the other a rocker...the wedding is going to nothing short of epic. Kellie and Rob's wedding is definitely one of my favorite weddings of all time! It was a wedding full of smiles and laughter.  Most importantly it was a wedding where the bride and groom just let the day be, went with the flow and were themselves from start to finish.  I knew it was going to be a great day when I heard the conversation between Kellie and her mom (Mrs Effie).  I really wish I could share it with you guys.  I will just tell you it was absolutely hilarious.

The ceremony was held at Warner Park Community Recreational Center in Madison, WI and the party was at the Brink Lounge. There were custom wedding bands, spiked bracelets and a pink fur coat made an appearance at this wedding. A beautiful bouquet that paired beautifully with a pop of purple that was perfect for this early winter wedding.

Rob walked into the ceremony like only Rob can do! This guy is awesome! The look they gave each other when Kellie was coming down the aisle was priceless. I can truly say it will be hard to find and meet two free spirited and loving people like Kellie and Rob! They simply LOVE LIFE and EACH OTHER!!!

From the bridal party photos to the toasts, there was always a surprise or a joke or a crazy face right around the corner.  This was a party of love ones and friends, much more than a wedding day. I truly mean that in a good way. It was a true celebration. Rob rocked out on the drums and Jessica started a flash mob and Eon toast was absolutely "GENIUS". What a day...Kellie and Rob you have a special place in my heart and I wish you the best that life has to offer. Congrats to you two!!

Thanks to the awesome vendors that made this day possible.

Pine Lakes Country Club Wedding Photographer | Myrtle Beach, SC | Sarah + Colby

Sarah and Colby met freshmen year of college, on a camping trip in the Berkshires. Sarah is an extreme girly girl and was definitely out of her element. Colby a Portland, ME native, was overly prepared. Who knew they would be the perfect match. The couple bonded over Sarah's weird choices in sports teams. After 3 days in the Berkshires and lots of bug bites later, Colby took Sarah on a date. The rest is history they have been together ever since. After college the couple decided to move South and begin their life together down where it does not snow, well most of the time. Soon after moving down to North Carolina Colby took Sarah to Asheville, NC and proposed in the wilderness in front of a waterfall. Miles away and years later they began their life together in the great outdoors once again. This time it was a promise to each other forever.

These two along with Gigi Noelle Events planned the perfect outdoor wedding at Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach, SC. However mother nature decided to change it up a little.  With rain coming down hard, the ceremony was moved inside.  Sarah and Colby didn't let that dampen their spirits nor their beautiful wedding decorated with amazing floral by Little Shop of Flowers.  With tears of joy and smiles everywhere, these two said their vows, celebrated with family and friends, and danced the night away as DJ Scott and Company supplied the outstanding music. Congrats to you, Sarah and Colby!!

Thanks to the amazing vendors that made this day happen.

Wedding | Myrtle Beach, SC Wedding Photographer | Beach Wedding | Summer + Justin

From the Bride:

Justin and I have been together for 6 years. When we met he had a beautiful 3 year old little girl, Macie, who is now 9. The day we met I was working in a small town cafe and he and his buddies came in for lunch that day. That was the beginning our path to where we are now. We now have a beautiful 4 year old daughter, Cashlyn. Justin and I didn’t want to get married just because we were having a baby. We decided to wait until we felt it was time. We have built a beautiful life together that started with our beautiful daughters, then bought a beautiful home on 110 acres 2 years ago.  That's when we decided that this is where we wanted to raise our family and raise a family as Mr. and Mrs. Hall.   So one day we walked out to the waterfall that’s on our property and Justin surprised me by asking me to marry him. That was so special to me because how much our home means to us. Now we will raise our family and live out our lives as Mr and Mrs Hall there.

From Moose:

When I received the message from Summer inquiring about me photographing her wedding and hearing why she wanted me photograph it, I was floored. I was so honored and humble by her response. Also as I got to know Summer during this process, I realized more and more she was definitely the bride for me.  Summer has a loving and sweet soul that you can't help to love. As she talked about Justin, you immediately knew and felt the love she had for him. You knew this was a marriage that was meant to be and there was time put into this relationship like no other.

Summer told me it's going to be a small intimate beach wedding with just a few people. I love those types of weddings too. When I walked into the beach house, Summer and Justin's family treated me like I was their kin as well.  I watched and talked college football with the men. I talked about my girlish figure with Grandma.  Grandma told me on many occasions not to be shy and fix a plate.  She tried to feed me a lot! With a family like this and a beautiful couple like Summer and Justin, you couldn't help but to simply enjoy yourself.  Summer and Justin were so in love and you could feel and see it.  And that's rare to see when a couple has been together so long. I can't thank Summer and Justin enough for trusting me to document their union and bringing me back to shores of Myrtle Beach. I wish you guys the absolute best.  And Justin you have your hands full with those gorgeous girls of yours. Invest in a Louisville Slugger for the future.  Love you guys!

Reedsburg Country Club, Reedsburg, WI Wedding Photographer | Kaela & Matt Married

Hey guys!! What a wedding day it was for Kaela and Matt.  These two are just so loving towards one another, it's infectious.  I personally had two favorite moments of the day. The first moment I want to share is when Kaela and Matt saw each other during their first look. The way they both just lit up when they saw each other for the first time was amazing. I swear I heard the words "I love you so much" a million times during the first look. The moment they shared with the smiles, laughter and tears was heartwarming. It literally gave me goosebumps.

The second moment is when Kaela arrive at the Reedsburg Country Club. I've never witnessed a bride so cool, calm and collective on her wedding day.  She understood that she was marrying her best friend and love of her life and there was no need to be nervous.  Kaela came in looking beautiful, gave me hug and was giving me high fives during the wedding day.

As you look through the images from their engagement session and their wedding day, you can see the abundance of love that they have for each other.  They were a blast to be around and photograph. Thank you Kaela and Matt for allowing me to capture your wedding day. It was an absolute honor. I wish you the best that life has to offer you two and a lifetime of love and happiness.

Wisconsin Dells Wedding Photographer | St. Cecilia Catholic Church | Rachel + Jason | Wisconsin Dells Wedding

Rachel and Jason hail from Pierre, South Dakota. Rachel grew up in Michigan (Go Wolverines!) and Jason grew up in South Dakota. They both wanted to keep it simple and stay true to the traditions that meant so much to them. However, with both of their families being from two different areas they needed to find a solution to have their families share in the celebration with them. So they decided to have a reception in South Dakota and one in Michigan, however they needed to find somewhere in the middle for the ceremony. The ceremony solution was to bring their families who have never met, together in the middle and that middle was right here in the Dells.

Rachel and Jason chose the St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in the Dells for it's amazing and breathtaking beauty and the plethora of activities to do in the area for the families. It's very hard to describe how beautiful St. Cecilia Catholic Church is. The attention to detail throughout this church is beautiful. It mixes modern style with the old style together to make an amazing church. Speaking of old...one tradition that Rachel and Jason wanted to stay true to was the walking down the aisle together. This is one of the oldest wedding practices of the Catholic church and was very special to Rachel and Jason. The glow on Rachel's face as she was walking down to marry her love was priceless to witness. Jason had huge smile going on too. They also decided not to do a first look, but to see each other for the first time just before it was time to walk down the aisle together.

In addition to St Cecilia with simplicity in mind, they chose the River Walk Pub because of their beautiful outdoor riverside patio and riverwalk. Somewhere they families could just sit eat, drink and celebrate their union. They kept all of this small and intimate with the family members that were able to travel to Wisconsin Dells with them.

Rachel and Jason just has that genuine, undeniable love for each other. The body language during the ceremony, the little eye gazes and tiny so-intimate gentle smiles they gave each other throughout the day were amazing. Rachel was absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and you can tell she was waiting for a day like this forever. Jason truly has a beautiful bride at his side forever.

I wish Rachel and Jason many blessings and the best that life can offer!!

Georgetown, SC Wedding Photographer | Greenfield Plantation | Tomecca + Octavius | Low Country Wedding

This wedding day was a scorcher and windy. You wouldn't think at the end of April it would be 92 degrees with 100% humidity. It was like sitting in a very scenic blowdryer...LOL.  However that didn't damper the spirits of Tomecca and Octavius' wedding. The two exchange vows on the beautiful grounds of Greenfield Plantation in Georgetown, SC.  This amazing venue boasts manicured lawns, large Live Oaks, a beautiful plantation house surrounded by the river and a little island in the back with camels on it. (yes, I said camels) This offered the perfect setting for a low country outdoor wedding.

Tomecca and Octavius wanted this to really be a family affair. So many sentimental moments happened on this wedding day but I have to highlight a few. There were photos of the Octavius' parents (that are no longer here) walked down the aisle. The tears of joy as Tomecca hugged the woman that raised her and she calls mother.  The interaction between those two would have brought you to tears if you were there to witness that bond and validation of the love they have for one another. The song that Tomecca's sister Vanessa sang to her and Octavius. Lastly, the speech Tomecca and Octavius gave at the end of the night thanking and telling each member of the wedding party why they were chosen to be a part of this special day.  The Willis' wanted their family and friends to not only be witnesses to their vows to one another, but to be a part of a family affair and let them know how special each person was to them.

Tomecca and Octavius, I would like to sincerely thank you for allowing me to photograph your engagement session and wedding day.  It was an honor to be there to document your love, you vows, your tears and that infamous tumble you guys had at the reception LOL!  Love you guys and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
