God's Little Angel

I don't know where to even start with this blog.  There is always that story that you hear that simply moves you and melts your heart. This couple reached out to us last year following a fundraising event at Habitat for Humanity that we both participated in.  We had an expiration date on the services that they won in a the silent auction and it had already expired. But once I received Josh's email and in that email he briefly told me their story I knew I wanted to do this for them.  So we scheduled a date to meet in February of this year and hearing their story at that meeting from both Suzanne and Josh I was almost brought to tears. Their story goes from being heartbreaking to a beautiful new chapter that is about to unfold. Here are few images of their maternity session at the beautiful Calendonia Golf and Fish Club in Pawley's Island.

As for their story of God's little angel, I will let them tell you themselves...Listen to Suzanne and Josh as they share their story of heartbreak and joy as they are about to welcome little Miss Tenley Brooks into this world.

If you know of anyone who have or is struggling with this type of loss in their lives share this with them to let them know that they are not alone. That they can feel joy again and maybe share their story with others. We never know what God has in store for us and your struggles could one day help others. However,  I can tell you that He will not give you anything you can't handle.

God Bless You Suzanne and Josh and THANK YOU for allowing us to tell your story. Until next time...Be Blessed, Stay Happy and Keep Smiling!!!

Many thanks goes to:

Downtown Conway SC High School Senior Session | Mattie

"Her smile lights up a room, but her heart ignites your soul."

If you ever met or get a chance to meet Mattie, you will know instantly that she is beautiful on the outside, but absolutely stunning on the inside.  Her faith and love for God is so amazing and such a young age, and her willingness to help others is like no other.  Mattie had a verse that she had posted to an image on Instagram that described her and her heart perfectly. It was Romans 12:10. "Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves."  That it what I've seen in Mattie over the last year. This describes her perfectly.

As you look through these images of her you would never guess that Mattie is pretty reserve. However when you have a photographer like myself do something very embarrassing in the beginning of your session that immediately breaks the ice, you have no choice but to have fun after that. ~Mattie you better keep that secret too :) What was amazing to see take place is that she just relaxed and decided to let it all go and enjoy herself. She was Mattie that mostly family gets to see.  So we had a blast on the streets of Historic Downtown Conway.

So what I won't say to you Mattie is that I wish you the best...why...because I don't need to, God has your path laid out for you already and believe me it is nothing but the best of things to come. As long as Romans 12:10 is in your heart you will be just fine. What I will say to you is...thank you for allowing me to capture your smile as well as your fun and loving soul in these images. Enjoy your senior year and Keep on bein' Mattie!!

...Until next time Be Blessed, Stay Happy and Keep Smiling!

My Little Homie

This blog post is something a little different for me. I decided to briefly talk about one of my dear friends...Heather.  She is what most people who do not know her would possibly call awkward or weird. But I call her beautiful, special and my little homie. You will never ever meet a person like this in your life.  Heather gives you that little jolt of life that every one needs. She has what she calls "charisma" (which is one of her many many many favorite ways to describe herself) but it's what I call inner beauty. She adds joy, randomness, beauty and tons and tons of humor into your life. She has brighten my day plenty of times and she may not even know it. Heather is a very special person (and not the "special" that she hates) and this world needs more people like her...but I don't know if we could handle all that CHARISMA!!!

Below are some images from a day that we were playing around with the camera. Maybe this will shed some light on what I see in her!

Monday after the Masters with the Caddy Girls

Two years ago I attended the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta when Bubba won.  I got a few pics of Phil, Rory, Ricky and even Tiger...but two years later Bubba has the Green Jacket again. This time I feel I won. Why you may ask? Well let me tell you. On April 14th I had the opportunity to be at the famous Monday after the Masters Celebrity Pro-Am Tournament in Myrtle Beach founded by Hootie and the Blowfish. It's a great charitable event held in Myrtle Beach for the past 20 years. The atmosphere at this event is fun and a lot more loose than the Masters and any other golfing event that I've ever attended, believe me when I say that. However it is an absolute blast to be there.  You get to see celebrities, sports figures and professional golfers and one more very important group of individuals...The Caddy Girls.

These girls are absolutely amazing and fun to be around. So I was there assisting a great Myrtle Beach photographer (Mr. Smallin) and our job was to follow the Myrtle Beach Caddy Girls around and basically document their day at Monday After the Masters. They drew so much attention due to their vibrant, fun, outgoing and contagious spirits.  And not to forget they are freakin gorgeous as well.  There was nothing to dislike about this group of beautiful strong women...unless you were another woman there at the event.  These ladies engaged with the patrons and the celebrities on golf course and brought many many smiles to faces throughout the day. So if the you ever get the chance to attend the Monday After the Masters event, do so, it is a GREAT TIME. As for the Myrtle Beach Caddy Girls I won't go into much more detail but I will say this...if you guys ever get a chance to see or meet or even hire the Caddy Girls, DO IT!!! You will not regret it!!
